![]() The College of Biblical Studies' library collection is located in the Houck Academic building on the main campus. There are more than 40,000 volumes and 180 different journals and periodicals available for use to support the academic programs of the college and to meet its educational objectives and additional research. The library is for CBS students, faculty and employees. Students should follow the instructions of the library staff and posted procedures for usage. You need JavaScript enabled to view it The College of Biblical Studies and the University of St. Thomas have entered into an Inter-Library Loan Agreement whereby CBS students may use their prestigious Doherty library collection. The student should check with the CBS library staff as to location and procedures for utilizing the UST library.
In addition, interlibrary research and computer network databases and resources, such as internet, are also available to each student. Semester Break CHECK OUT POLICIES Between semesters, materials will be checked out to CBS Bachelor program students only (Associate program not included), CBS Faculty and workers, Grace School of Theology (GSOT) students and Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) students. Directory of Open Access Journals Free Full Text scientific and scholarly journals. Directory of Open Access Journals covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. They aim to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 4026 journals in the directory. Currently 1448 journals are searchable at article level. As of today (April 14, 2009) 271243 articles are included in the DOAJ service. Research in Ministry (RIM) - Online indexes and abstracts projects and theses from over 100 D Min and D Miss Programs. CDRI: Digital Resources for the Study of Religion The Cooperative Digital Resources Initiative of the American Theological Library Association and Association of Theological Schools is a repository of digital resources contributed by member libraries. The creation of CDRI was made possible by a generous grant from the Henry Luce Foundation; it is now an ongoing ATLA program. The CDRI database provides access to digital images of woodcuts, photographs, slides, papyri, coins, maps, postcards, manuscripts, lithographs, sermons, shape-note tune books, and various forms of Christian art, architecture, and iconography. The collections included in the database are described below. Titles may be ordered online through our search and order system. TREN also makes available conference papers presented at annual meetings of several academic societies. Here are a few of our conference paper sources: Evangelical Theological Society (1,129 papers), American Society of Church History (150 papers),Society for Pentecostal Studies (75 papers), North American Patristic Society (20 papers), American Catholic Historical Association (14 papers), You can obtain documents from TREN in three media formats: Digital, downloadable e-docs (NEW!), Paper copies are available at 15 cents per page.
